Open Door Community Church is part of the Churches of Christ movement.
We believe the Bible to be the inspired and authoritative Word of God.
We believe that there is one God, eternally present in three persons: Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His death that set us free from sin and eternal death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His coming return in power and glory.
We believe that salvation is a free gift given to us to live in perfect union with Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the ongoing ministry of the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Holy Spirit by which we can grow in love for God and one another.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost into the resurrection of eternal separation from God.
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in Lord Jesus Christ.
Vision
Our community transformed by Gods passionate love and kingdom purpose established here as it is in heaven.
It will be evidenced by all People:
- Knowing they are loved and wanted
- Knowing and expressing their kingdom purpose
- Caring for each other in gentleness and love
- Practically supporting others in need
- Forgiving one another
- Repenting of destructive behaviour
- Working together with Joy and gladness
- Sharing their Joy and story and,
- Inviting others into their own story
We will achieve this through;
Being an expression of God’s passionate and authentic love for His children in this place that none would perish but experience the Kingdom of God
